Miracle is within Steadfastness
Sayyidi Sultan Ul Awliya Shaykh Muhammad Mohsin Munawar Yousafi Al Naqshbandi often explains the importance of Steadfastness in worship and also in every good act that we perform. Sayyidi Shaykh stated that expressing or mentioning of such events and instances those reflect the ‘Karamah’ (Miracles) does not mean that we do not pay attention and not to concentrate in prayers and worships.
According to Him that sometimes our thoughts can disturb our stability of performing worship to Allah Almighty. The pious people (Awliya Allah) have given the example of food, that if flies comes near the food, you remove the flies and eat the food. The same is the case with Salat, remembrance of Allah and recitations, that if thoughts, misconceptions or interruption disturb us during Salat and remembrance of Allah then they should be removed rather than leaving the prayers and worships.
Shaykh Muhammad Mohsin Munawar Yousafi stated “I met a man, he said that he used to offer prayers (Salat) but then he left. I asked him why he had left it. He replied that when he offered prayers (Salat), different thoughts about his wife, children and business came to his mind but not the religion; and the man started crying. He was in a critical state. He said, ‘What is the use of such prayers (Salat) that when I am praying towards Allah’s, addressing Allah Almighty while my thoughts are wandering here and there. I told him to at least offer the Salat, because a day will come when the attention and concentration will build up and be diverted towards Allah Almighty. Grand Shaykh Muhammed Yousaf Ali Nagina (May Allah Please with Him) used to say that if a person targets a destination in his mind, work hard for it and carry on towards the righteous path with determination then he will definitely reach the destination”.
Furthermore, quoting Sayyidi Shaykh:
“I am acquainted with a follower and servant of Grand Shaykh Mohammed Yousaf Ali Nagina (May Allah Please with Him) who, with the consent and permission of Sayyidi Grand Shaykh started reciting the blessed Darood (Darood e Khizri) with concentration, determination and great respect five hundred times daily, He had at least 29 times the vision of the Holy Prophet (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) within the first three years of taken Bayt with Grand Shaykh Muhammad Yousaf Ali Nagina (May Allah Please with Him). Now, when 22/23 years have passed, it cannot be counted how many times He must have had the visions of the Holy Prophet (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him).
